Corporate Email Setup and MX Record Configuration

Corporate Email Setup and MX Record Configuration

Corporate Hosting

Corporate email allows your business to communicate professionally and securely using your own domain (e.g., info@yourcompany.com). This guide explains how to create email accounts and configure MX records properly.

1. What is Corporate Email?

Corporate email provides domain-branded communication, enhances brand trust, and reduces spam risks.

2. Creating Email Accounts (Cpanel or Plesk)

  • Cpanel: Email → Email Accounts → “Add”.
  • Plesk: Mail → Add Email Address → Set username and password.

Once created, you can access it via webmail or mail clients like Outlook or Thunderbird.

3. What are MX Records?

MX records (Mail Exchange) direct your emails to the correct server. Incorrect configuration can cause delivery failures.

4. Setting Up MX Records

Host: @
Type: MX
Value: mail.yourcompany.com
Priority: 10

Also include SPF and DKIM records for better email authentication:

TXT (SPF): "v=spf1 include:sosyohost.com ~all"
TXT (DKIM): (Automatically created in SosyoHost panel)

5. Webmail Access

https://mail.yourcompany.com
Username: info@yourcompany.com
Password: (Your chosen password)

6. Email Client Configuration (Outlook, Thunderbird)

  • Outgoing Server (SMTP): mail.yourcompany.com – Port 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
  • Incoming Server (IMAP): mail.yourcompany.com – Port 993 (SSL)

7. Common Email Issues

  • Emails not sending → Check MX records.
  • Emails going to spam → Enable SPF and DKIM validation.
  • Outlook connection error → Update your SSL certificate.

Note: SosyoHost Corporate Email solutions include built-in AntiSpam and AntiVirus filtering for maximum email security.
